Source: Tuacahn Center for the Arts, “Tuacahn announces a season of biblical proportions” (press release dated Sept. 10, 2026, posted Sept. 18, 2026). Show dates from BroadwayWorld, Team BWW, Sept. 23, 2026.
Fresh off a summer of Les Misérables, Grease and Finding Nemo, Tuacahn Center for the Arts, tucked into the red-rock canyon right here in Ivins, has announced its five-show 2027 season. With season packages going on sale Tuesday, November 3, 2026, now is a good time to start planning next year's nights under the stars.
The 2027 lineup
- The Play That Goes Wrong, Indoor Hafen Theatre, January 29 – March 12. Tuacahn says it is the first non-musical it has ever produced.
- The Prince of Egypt, Outdoor Amphitheatre, April 30 – October 22. Tuacahn last staged it in 2018, and this time the show gets the theater's newer LED capabilities.
- Disney's Hercules, Outdoor Amphitheatre, May 14 – October 23, with music by Alan Menken, following its run in London's West End.
- Hairspray, Outdoor Amphitheatre, July 10 – October 21.
- Million Dollar Quartet Christmas, Indoor Hafen Theatre, November 19 – December 22, bringing Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis songs to the holidays.
Associate artistic director Shari Jordan said of Hercules, “as soon as I saw it, I knew it was the perfect fit for Tuacahn.” Artistic director Scott Anderson noted that audiences “regularly” ask for The Prince of Egypt to return.
Before then: a holiday show this year
You don't have to wait for 2027. Tuacahn's Holiday Inn, the Irving Berlin musical featuring “White Christmas,” runs November 20 – December 22, 2026 in the Indoor Hafen Theatre. For packages and tickets, visit tuacahn.org or call the box office at 435-652-3300.
Why it matters for Ivins
Having a professional outdoor theater framed by red cliffs just up the road is one of those things that makes everyday life in Ivins feel a little special. A full season of shows means plenty of easy evenings out without leaving town.
