Welcome to my first weekly look at what’s happening in Santa Clara, Ivins’ next-door neighbor, for Monday, November 2 through Sunday, November 8, 2026. It’s a fairly quiet week on the official calendars, but there’s an evening history talk at Town Hall honoring local veterans, plus a full week of library programs for kids, teens and adults. Every item below comes from the organizer’s own calendar, with dates, times and places as they list them. Schedules can change, so please confirm with the organizer before you go.
Wednesday’s highlight: Stories of Santa Clara Veterans
Wednesday, November 4: America250 Lecture: Stories of Santa Clara Veterans
Santa Clara City’s events calendar lists America250 Lecture: Stories of Santa Clara Veterans on Wednesday, November 4, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Santa Clara Town Hall, 2603 Santa Clara Drive, organized by the city’s America250 Committee. It’s part of the monthly lecture series the city hosts at Town Hall at 7:00 PM to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, and with Veterans Day coming up the following week, the timing is a nice fit. Santa Clara: Ivins’ next-door neighbor
Santa Clara sits between Ivins and St. George along the Santa Clara River, so the three cities are just minutes apart. It’s one of Southern Utah’s oldest communities, settled in the 1850s, and you can still see that history along Santa Clara Drive in the historic district and at the Jacob Hamblin Home. Living in Ivins puts you right next door to Santa Clara’s shops, restaurants and trails, with more shopping and dining in St. George a little farther on. Curious about the area?
